Ipe Railing - Ipe Post Caps - Ipe Posts - Ipe Deck Mouldings and Trim
Exterior Millworks decking components are attractive and functional. Each component is a member of a design collection. Each collection is a family of components that has related design features. The post caps, posts, post skirts, handrail subrail, ballusters, stair nosing and other misc. trim parts are all shaped with the similar design feature of that collection. The major advantage in buying our post caps and rail components is that they are all cleaned, sanded, and shaped. They look more like furniture parts ready for finishing, rather than dirty decking pieces direct from your local lumber yard. These hardwoods are tough! It's very difficult for a contractor to achieve these shapes on the job, and it's very difficult to clean and sand railing components once they have been installed. We discuss your railing needs in detail, identifying each post position and the lengths between the posts, then we manufacture the rails for each section length. You don't have to buy someone else's stock 12' rail section. The decking itself can be installed with a blind fastening system or predrilled and screwed with stainless steel finish head screws - or glued PL-Premium adhesive and stainless steel finish nails from a pnuematic nailer. A floor sander can be employed to finish sand the deck after everybody is done working on it. Apply a coat of clear Penofin For Hardwoods finish and you'll have the ultimate appearance in hardwood decking. The disadvantage to buying our deck components is obviously the packaging and freight charges. Initially, you may feel that the freight charges are a bit much, however, if you calculate the freight charges over the lifetime of the deck, and consider the ooh's! and aah's! from your neighbors, and remember that outside of NY state, there is no tax, then the freight charges become much more tolerable. We only ship to the continental United States. Minimal freight charges to local Long Island residents.
